Our extrusion line in Karlskrona needs to expand its team and is now looking for machine operators who want to work for a global company and contribute to the green transition.
Shift work with problem-solving and a strong focus on quality and safety
As a machine operator, you handle all tasks within your area of responsibility – from preparation and setting up the next production run to execution and follow-up. Together with your team, you ensure that production runs as planned and guarantee quality at every step. You enjoy tinkering and adjusting when needed, as well as facing problems that need to be solved quickly. Safety is number one and permeates everything we do.
The work will be carried out on a 5-shift system, meaning varied working hours including days, nights, and weekends.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Preparation and setup of machinery and equipment
- Control of operations
- Quality work
- Material handling
- Collaboration with other shifts and support departments such as production technology, quality, and project departments
Curious, engaged and meticulous
To thrive with us, you should be curious, engaged, and have an interest in developing according to set goals. The job requires that you, as a machine operator, have the ability to follow and adhere to given instructions and document performed work according to current routines. Structure and meticulousness characterize your work, while discipline and the ability to adapt align with your personality. A large part of the tasks are manual, which presupposes that you are technically knowledgeable and meticulous in your work. To thrive in the role, you are comfortable handling changes with short notice and enjoy working both in a group and independently.
In addition to the above, you should have the following experience:
- Technical background, at high school level or higher education
- A few years of experience working in industry
- Fluent in speaking and writing Swedish and English
- Comfortable working at heights
- Comfortable working in elevator environments
